Your First Visit
Private Laboratory Access
Coming for Blood Work?
Book an initial consultation if you would like private blood testing. The appointment provides time to review your concerns, previous results, medications and the tests you would like to explore.
Dr. MacLeod can help select a broad set of relevant markers, explain what each test can and cannot show, and arrange a private laboratory requisition and in-office collection. Testing costs are separate from the consultation fee and are confirmed before proceeding.
A simple place to start
- 1
Book an initial consultation
No family-doctor or specialist referral is required for private testing.
- 2
Bring any previous results
Existing blood work and reports help identify what has already been assessed and where broader testing may be useful.
- 3
Review the plan and costs
The selected tests, preparation instructions and laboratory fees are reviewed before collection is arranged.
How Your First Visit Works
The initial appointment is a 60-minute review of your health concerns, history, previous results, medications and priorities.
- 1
Prepare
Complete the requested intake information and gather any previous laboratory results, imaging or reports you would like reviewed.
- 2
Meet
Discuss your symptoms, health history, current care and goals. There is time to address the concerns and testing priorities that brought you in.
- 3
Plan the Next Step
Review appropriate testing or treatment options, their limitations and costs. Follow-up visits are used to review results and adjust the plan when needed.
